NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING

MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING LEVEL I/ II (SNT-TC-1A/ CP-189 | NDT304)

Who should attend?
Individuals involved in Magnetic Particle Testing of materials must possess Level II certification. This training program is a step towards that direction.

Technicians starting point: Trainee
Minimum required work experience in MT for employer certification per SNT-TC-1A: 280 Hours
Total Hours in NDT: 530

Why this course by AEIS?
Experienced instructors provide extensive training on a large number and variety of flaw specimens. Students learn to detect and evaluate flaws in welded plates, Tees, pipe fittings, flanges, bent plates and crane hooks. Use of both wet and dry visible and fluorescent wet medium is practiced during the training.

What are the Program highlights?

  • Principles of Magnets and Magnetic Fields
  • Characteristics of Magnetic Fields
  • Flux Fields
  • Effect of Discontinuities of Materials
  • Magnetization by Means of Electric Current
  • Selecting the Proper Method of Magnetization
  • Principles of Demagnetization
  • Inspection Materials
  • Magnetic Particle Testing Equipment
  • Types of Discontinuities detected by Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Magnetic Particle Test Indications and Interpretations
