Technical Training Code Clinics

Most Construction Codes require certified NDT Level II Inspectors as per SNT-TC-1A to perform non-destructive testing. Have you tried to get personnel certified in NDT and Welding Inspection without losing two weeks of billable time associated with training personnel? Now, for the first time in the metro area, AEIS has initiated a Flexible NDT Training Program (ndtFlexTrain™). The program is designed to provide training to prospective NDT personnel on weekends in New York Metropolitan Area. This means no downtime or any expensive travel/ hotel costs. The program lasts from two to five Saturdays depending on the NDT Method and Level of Certification.

AEIS has a large number of flaw samples to practice and comprehend the probable location of flaws. A large inventory of equipment enables students to become confident with the techniques being taught. We utilize audio visual programs, including streaming videos and flash files, to ensure complete understanding of the underlying principles and practices. Keeping the classroom size small, interaction with experienced Level III faculty enhances the overall learning process.

As in any discipline, attending a training course and passing a certification examination may not be enough. It is essential that the candidate is able to use the skills on the job. Our training sessions are very interactive. All participants are encouraged to bring their job related problems to these sessions for technical discussion.

Our course objectives are:

- Meeting the training requirements set forth in SNT-TC-1A/ NAS410 and employers’ written practice.
- Provide necessary skills for application on the job.

Who should attend?
Our code clinics are designed for engineers, architects, supervisors and inspectors interested in understanding and gaining a more thorough insight into code aspects. Furthermore, when municipal or national construction codes require that personnel performing certain inspections must be thoroughly conversant with type of inspections being performed, it becomes mandatory that these personnel undergo formal code training and evaluation.
